A market environment with a distinct behavior pattern.

Markets behave differently in calm bull markets, crises, inflation shocks, and liquidity squeezes. Quant strategies often work differently across regimes.

Example: Momentum can struggle during sharp regime shifts when market leadership reverses quickly.
